I’ve received several questions about the DockATot Deluxe, so I thought I would jump on here + write a quick review on this neat/new(to me) product!
I do want to let you all know that Stella is only a few weeks old, so I haven’t had much time to test this cool product out to witness its full potential, but so far it does the trick!
My first impression of the DockATot
comfy + cozy + high-quality + stylish
Being a first-time mom I didn’t know what to expect, but right off the bat, this was a great addition to Stella’s collection of baby “essentials.” Why? Well, for starters, it’s easy to move from the couch to the floor, to the bed. Also, because of its design, we are excited to take it with us on our weekend getaways! For us, this is simply easier to transport than a pack ‘n play while she is still little. Also, they offer THE CUTEST covers to match any style!
What’s a DockATot?
It’s a multifunctional lounger + co-sleeper that provides the ideal climate for babies + is made with 100% all natural cotton.
Pros
- Great design/well made
- Ideal for co-sleeping
- Safe + comfortable for sleeping + napping
- Multifunctional (can be used as a lounger, bed, play area + tummy time)
- Lightweight + portable
- Easy to transport, which is perfect for traveling
Cons
- It’s difficult to remove + replace the cover, which can make washing daunting.
What are my favorite features?
The Dock works great for “play” time, tummy time (it allows for baby rest over rounded bumper), lounging in the living room (on the floor or on the couch) + in between us in bed. My favorite feature is the rounded sides because they provide her with a cozy space that keeps her confined enough so I don’t have to worry about her rolling around.
I’ve read that it will help ease the transition from her bassinet to her crib, something I will be testing in the upcoming months.
What is so special about its design?
The DockATot Deluxe is designed for babies 0 to 8 months. It’s the ultimate safe + comfy spot for the babes.
The DockATot Grand is designed for babies/kids 9 to 36 months. It’s great for transitioning into a big kid bed. Plus it has bumpers built-in, so you won’t need to add them to your bed!
Its breathable/safe/microclimate material keeps baby cool in summer + warm in winter. And best of all, there is a variety of covers in beautiful patterns to chose from! (Personally, I have my eye on both the fern + rose covers :))
Overall, I would recommend this product if you are looking for a cozy sleeping space for your baby. The price tag might give you a bit of sticker shock, but I promise, it’s worth the investment.
